Airfix - Model Kit - Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero 1:72 (Skill Level1)
Out of Stock
When the Japanese Zero first entered service in 1940, it was without doubt the most advanced naval fighter in the world and quickly earned a reputation as a ruthless dogfighter. In early engagements, the Zero proved so effective that pilots were able to post an almost unbelievable victory ratio of 12 to 1 against their adversaries. As the Wehrmacht began its march across Europe in 1940, little attention was being given to developments in the Far East. Following years of re-arming and upgrading, the Japanese Navy could boast some of the most advanced naval aircraft in the world within its inventory, including the superb Mitsubishi A6M Zero. This long range Naval fighter would be at the forefront of Japan's expansionist ambitions throughout WWII and in the early war years, proved to be unequalled in the Pacific region.  The Zero also quickly earned a reputation as a dogfighter and Allied pilots...

Airfix - Small Starter Set - Aston Martin DB5 1:43 (Skill Level 1)
$40.00
Although the criteria for a car to be described as one of the world's top supercars will always be open to some debate, surely few would argue that the Aston Martin DB5 should be amongst this group. A luxury grand tourer which may have been the product of an Italian design team but is the very essence of British sophistication and style, the DB5 built on the impressive success of its predecessor, the DB4 and between 1963 and 1965, presented the motoring world with one of the most desirable cars ever produced.  With pure driving pleasure at its heart, the Aston Martin DB5 was fast, powerful and refined, but most of all was beautiful to look at. With its iconic front profile and eye-catching spoked wheels, this product of the 1960s can still hold its own with any modern classic and if you arrived at an event in one of these...

The Cromwell, offical name Cruiser Tank MkVIII, was one of the most successful British tanks of the second world war.  Named after the English civil war leader Oliver Cromwell, the tank proved to be an adept and rugged fighting machine and served until the end of the war.  While out-gunned and out-armoured by German tanks, the Cromwell nonetheless managed to hold its own through better manoeuvrability, due to its relatively small size and reliability in combat, something sorely lacking in German armour. Airfix Starter Sets are ideal for beginners.  Each Small Starter Set includes glue, brush and four acrylic paints - all that is needed to complete a fabulous first kit! During its first few engagements during the Battle of Britain in 1940, enemy pilots were taken by surprise and the Defiant fared well but soon the Lutwaffe pilots worked out its weaknesses, especially the lack of forward firing guns and the Defiant was soon relegated to night fighting duties were it fared better.  Scale 1:72. Airfix - Small Starter Set - Tiger I Tank (Skill Level 1
Out of Stock
Even though the German Panzerkamfwagen VI Tiger heavy tank saw its combat introduction back in September 1942, it is still regarded as the worlds most famous tank design to this day. Possessing a fearsome combination of firepower, armoured protection and mobility, the 88mm gun mounted on the Tiger and its excellent sighting optics allowed it to engage enemy armour at extreme ranges and certainly well outside the range at which they could return fire. Indeed, during the first Tiger engagements on the Eastern Front, the most likely way that a Tiger would be destroyed was by the hands of its own crew, as they were desperate to avoid the possibility of one of these magnificent machines falling into the hands of the enemy. From the date of its introduction, the Tiger was the tank against which all other tanks would be judged and large numbers of Allied tanks and military vehicles...

Airfix - Small Starter Set - Sherman Firefly Tank (Skill Level 1)
Out of Stock
With the American built M4 Sherman Tank available to Allied forces in large numbers, the British decided to match their successful 17-pounder anti-tank gun with the latest version of the Sherman, in the hope that they could produce a tank capable of challenging the feared German Tiger and Panther heavy tanks. Requiring quite significant redesign of the turret and with the gun mounted on its side, the 17-pounder equipped Shermans became arguably the most effective Allied tanks of the Second World War and were easily capable of knocking out any German tanks they encountered following the Normandy landings. Given the name Firefly, unwary German tank commanders who assumed this new Allied tank was just a standard Sherman were in for an unwelcome surprize and they quickly learned to be wary of the lo gun barrels of the Sherman Fireflys. Complete with painting guides, water-based acrylic paint, adhesive and a brush,...
